frequently Asked Questions

Questions & Answers

01.

HOW LONG ARE SESSIONS?

Newborn sessions typically last around 3-4 hours, allowing plenty of time for feeding, soothing, breaks, and unhurried moments. Senior sessions are shorter and usually range from 60-90 minutes depending on locations and outfit changes.

02.

DO YOU TRAVEL TO OUR HOME?

Yes. Newborn sessions take place in the comfort of your home so your family can stay relaxed and settled. I bring professional lighting and a curated selection of newborn outfits and wraps to create a soft, intentional look regardless of your space.

03.

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME FOR NEWBORN PHOTOS?

The most sleepy, curled newborn images are typically captured within the first two weeks after birth. However, every season of newborn life is meaningful. Older newborn sessions are welcomed and tend to focus more on connection, family interaction, and natural moments together.

04.

WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR?

After booking, you'll receive a styling guide to help you feel fully prepared. For newborn sessions, I bring curated outfits and wraps for your newborn to simplify the process even further.

05.

WHAT IF MY BABY IS FUSSY OR DOESN'T SLEEP?

That is completely normal and expected. Newborn sessions are baby-led and flexible. We take breaks as needed for feeding, soothing, and comfort. Some of the most meaningful images come from calm connection, not just sleeping poses.

06.

HOW DOES THE ORDERING PROCESS WORK?

After your session, you will receive a carefully curated proofing gallery. From there, you select your favorite images based on your collection. Once selections are finalized, I begin editing your images and preparing any artwork you've chosen.

07.

WHEN IS PAYMENT DUE?

Because only a limited number of sessions are accepted each month, a signed agreement and retainer are required to officially reserve your date.

I require payment in full prior to delivery of your final edited gallery and any artwork and will send an invoice prior to delivery.

08.

DO YOU OFFER ALBUMS & PRINTS?

Yes. I offer heirloom-quality lay-flat albums and matted fine art prints designed to preserve your images in a tangible, lasting way. These pieces are created to be displayed, held, and passed down through generations.

09.

WHAT MAKES YOUR APPROACH DIFFERENT?

My work is focused on creating a calm, guided experience that allows space for real connection. Rather than overly posed or rushed sessions, I aim to preserve your family in a way that feels natural, intentional, and artful.
